Track your Tag

The Tag Smart is a theft tag that can track your bike if it is lost or stolen. The Tag Smart is a small and rectangular box, which you attach to your bike or have your favorite bike store attach it to our recommended location.

Thanks to the Tag Smart, you leave your bike with peace of mind, because should your bike be stolen, you can use our dashboard to report your theft at the touch of a button. Then, together with our professional tracking company, we will take care of the rest.

For every bike

As you can see from the images, the Tag is rectangular and kept as small as possible. A black unobtrusive color was chosen so that the Tag can be hidden in or on the bike as well as possible. A big advantage is its compact size. It therefore fits in or on any bicycle. The size of the Tag Smart is 62 x 30 x 15 mm.

Without mobile or WiFi

As you may have gathered by now, the Tag Smart is a wireless product. You don’t need any cables. The Tag Smart makes direct contact with nearby transmission towers, so the Tag does not need to be near you, a cell phone or a WiFi network. This ensures that our trackers have an optimal starting point after theft to recover the stolen bike as quickly as possible.

Always connected

The Tag Smart uses KPN’s LoRa network. LoRa is a relatively new technology. It stands for “low power & long range,” and provides location tracking that uses very little power.

This allows the battery to last at least four years and allows you to amortize the purchase price over a long period of time. This is also the reason why we can offer the Bypoint Tag Smart for €199,95 including a one-year Bypoint Active License! That’s a lot longer and cheaper than other trackers that mostly use Bluetooth or a GPS.

Battery life 4+ years

There is a small battery in the Tag Smart. You never have to replace or charge it. LoRa is energy efficient, so the battery lasts at least 4 years. This is not the case with other similar trackers. Therefore, many trackers must be built into the engine. The Tag Smart you can attach and install yourself without any hassle and you do not need to charge!

Value for money

You buy the Tag for €199.95. This is the price for the Tag Smart (€144.96) + 1 year Bypoint Active license (worth €54.99). The price also includes professional tracking. The license is necessary to realize an active signal and connect to the Bypoint dashboard. Comparable trackers are a lot more expensive. Only the price of the tracker is usually already around €200, – excluding license/subscription fees and additional mounting material/costs. Because GPS trackers need to be connected to the bike’s battery, the assembly is complex and time-consuming which you also end up paying for.
